AI Policy

Last updated: 2 June 2026

1. Why we have this policy

AI is a core part of how we build websites, automations and SEO/GEO work. This policy explains how we use AI, what we won't do with your data, and how you can decide what's appropriate for your project.

2. Where we use AI

  • SEO checker: AI models help analyse the page you submit and generate recommendations.
  • Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): AI models help research how your brand appears in answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
  • Content drafting: AI helps draft copy, schema, alt text and metadata, always with human review before delivery.
  • Automations & internal systems: AI may be embedded in workflows we build for you (e.g. lead triage, email replies, summaries) - only with your knowledge and approval.

3. Providers we use

We rely on established providers, primarily models from Google and OpenAI accessed through our internal gateway. We choose providers with enterprise-grade security and a clear stance against using customer data to train their models by default. A current list of AI sub-processors is available on request.

4. Human in the loop

AI assists, it doesn't ship. A human reviews AI-generated work before it is delivered to clients or published. For any automation that takes an action on a client's behalf (sending an email, updating a record), we configure the safeguards and review steps appropriate to the risk.

5. Your data & AI

  • We do not knowingly send special category data (health, biometric, etc.), payment card numbers, or credentials to AI providers.
  • Where possible we send the minimum data needed - for example, anonymised samples instead of full customer records.
  • We do not permit our AI providers to use your data to train their public models where opt-out is available, and we use providers that offer this by default.
  • If you'd like specific data excluded from any AI processing, tell us and we'll configure the workflow accordingly.

6. Intellectual property

AI outputs we deliver as part of paid work belong to you on full payment, in line with our Terms & Conditions. We review outputs for obvious issues, but we recommend a final human review on your side before publishing - particularly for claims, statistics and anything regulated.

7. Accuracy & limitations

AI models can be confidently wrong. The free SEO checker is informational and not a guarantee of search performance. AI-assisted deliverables are produced to a high standard but should not be treated as legal, financial, medical or regulatory advice.

8. Compliance

We use AI in a way that is consistent with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and emerging guidance from the ICO on AI and automated decision-making. We monitor changes in UK and international AI regulation and adjust our practices accordingly.
