1. Who we are

This policy covers cookies and similar technologies used on valomemedia.com and our invitation-only Client Portal at portal.valomemedia.com.
2. What these technologies do
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include browser local storage, session storage, pixels and tags.
They may support login, security, preferences, website chat or analytics. The rules depend on their purpose and operation, not simply whether they are called cookies or whether they collect names.
3. Necessary storage
We use necessary storage to support functions you request, such as account authentication, security and remembering cookie choices.
This may include persistent authentication tokens in the Portal. Their lifetime depends on session settings, expiry and logout behaviour.
Necessary technologies cannot be disabled through our optional-cookie settings where doing so would prevent the requested function. You can still control browser storage, although this may prevent login or other features from working.
4. Website-chat storage
When you use the website assistant, conversation history is kept in browser session storage to maintain the conversation during that session. A Clear chat control removes the locally stored conversation.
Session storage is normally cleared when its browsing context closes, but browser restoration features may preserve it. Use Clear chat when you want to remove it explicitly.
Clearing browser history does not necessarily delete information already transmitted to the AI service. Our Privacy Policy and AI Policy explain that processing.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website activity, including page visits, traffic sources and device/browser information.
Analytics runs only after you enable the analytics category or select Accept all. Refusing analytics does not prevent use of the website.
Analytics identifiers and usage information are not treated as anonymous merely because we do not collect your name.
We do not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels. If this changes, we will update the information and obtain any required permission before activating them.
6. Storage inventory
The following technologies are used on our main website and Client Portal. Storage names containing a variable element are shown as patterns.

Analytics cookies operate only after you enable analytics. You can change that choice through Cookie settings.
Cookie-choice storage is used solely to remember and honour your decision. Authentication storage supports requested Portal access. Chat storage supports the conversation you initiate, and scroll-position storage supports navigation.
Signing out removes the Portal’s stored authentication entry. Clearing chat removes locally stored conversation history, but does not itself delete information previously transmitted to an AI provider.
Payments opened on Stripe’s own website are subject to Stripe’s cookie information. No embedded Stripe checkout storage is included in this inventory.
7. Your choices
On the main website, you can accept optional technologies, reject them or choose available categories.
Optional categories are off unless you enable them. You can reopen the controls through the Cookie settings link and change or withdraw your choice at any time.
Withdrawal prevents subsequent analytics activity controlled by that choice. It does not reverse processing that took place before withdrawal. Where technically appropriate, our controls remove accessible optional cookies associated with the withdrawn category.
You can also use browser settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and other storage. Browser controls are additional to our on-site controls.
Cookie controls and choices may need to be applied separately on different devices, browsers or subdomains.
8. Preferences and third-party services
Some preference storage supports a setting you request, such as navigation appearance. Its consent or objection arrangements depend on the specific function and applicable exemption.
Where we use a consent exemption, we provide the required information and any required simple, free means of objection. Other optional storage requires consent.
External links take you to services operating under their own notices. If we introduce embedded services, we will assess their storage and tracking behaviour and apply the appropriate controls before use.
9. Personal information and changes
Our Privacy Policy explains the personal information involved, recipients, international processing and your rights.
